Do ornaments come in skull shapes? Those would be much more interesting than all these round ones.

( 835 Hastings Boulevard, front yard )

[ Amongst all the forgetting and sadness, there is one house that looks to have bucked the dreary trend. Amaimon has taken the giant tree the town has as its own Christmas tree as a challenge and has proceeded to decorate the hell out of his quaint little suburban home. Everything is covered in lights. Every damn inch out of the outside he could find Christmas lights for, especially now that so many people went and got rid of themselves so the town could have power. But that isn't the worst best of it...

The best of it is the colossal pine tree that has grown in the front yard overnight. Yes, overnight. There had been no trees the day before and now? A tree that rivals the town tree stands in the yard.

But it's still in the process of being decorated by dozens of little green plant men, who are clambering around the branches, hanging baubles, lights, and tinsel with Amaimon supervises from below. The demon points out bare spots or waves at things he wants moved a little to the left between decimating the box of candy canes that will never, ever make it onto that pine.

You have no respect for other beings, do you?

[identity profile] ceilingdemonis.livejournal.com 2011-12-28 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
That's a strange thing to assume. If a being gives me a good reason to respect them, of course I do.

[identity profile] answerer-sword.livejournal.com 2011-12-28 06:51 am (UTC)(link)
And what would that reason be?

[identity profile] ceilingdemonis.livejournal.com 2011-12-29 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
Whatever I feel that reason should be, I suppose.

[identity profile] answerer-sword.livejournal.com 2011-12-29 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
You truly are a confusing person.

[She wonders if she should stay and continue to argue, or if she should just turn around and stop wasting time with him.]

[identity profile] ceilingdemonis.livejournal.com 2011-12-31 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
Not really. It isn't my fault you are incapable of understanding.

[Well, that's up to her, really. He doesn't seem irritated with the conversation, but not particularly invested in it either.]

[identity profile] answerer-sword.livejournal.com 2011-12-31 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps I am just not twisted enough to understand your philosophy.

[She is sure that people like Caster would have an easier time speaking to this man.]

[identity profile] ceilingdemonis.livejournal.com 2012-01-01 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably, but that still isn't my fault.

[identity profile] answerer-sword.livejournal.com 2012-01-01 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh? Then who would you blame? God? The world?

[Yet another man made in the mold of Gilles de Rais. How many were there in Mayfield anyway?]

[identity profile] ceilingdemonis.livejournal.com 2012-01-01 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
That's a silly thing to ask. How would I know why you aren't twisted enough to understand me?

[identity profile] answerer-sword.livejournal.com 2012-01-01 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
...I suppose you are right...

[At this point, she's too confused to say anything else.]

B-but still, your twisted philosophy is wrong.

[identity profile] ceilingdemonis.livejournal.com 2012-01-04 05:35 pm (UTC)(link)
No, it isn't.

[Is... is he just messing with her at this point?

It's difficult to tell, with his expression and tone never changing throughout this entire conversation.
]

[identity profile] answerer-sword.livejournal.com 2012-01-04 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[It almost reminds her of conversations with her superior.]

How do you know which philosophy is correct? Or are you just stubbornly holding your twisted ideals without looking at the world at large?

[In a way, it is the pot holding the kettle black. She is simply too stubborn to allow someone to win against her in an argument on moral philosophies.]

[identity profile] ceilingdemonis.livejournal.com 2012-01-07 08:24 am (UTC)(link)
I've seen a lot of the world. [He's a veteran tourist of human places!] But that hasn't changed anything. I'll respect who I want to, for whatever reason I want to.

There's nothing complicated about that.

[identity profile] answerer-sword.livejournal.com 2012-01-07 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
And yet you seem to have no respect for the sanctity of life.

[identity profile] ceilingdemonis.livejournal.com 2012-01-07 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't need to have that.

[Time for a new candy cane, sticking the end of one in his mouth to chew on. Yep.]

[identity profile] answerer-sword.livejournal.com 2012-01-07 07:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Why not? Do you simply consider yourself so above most living beings?

[identity profile] ceilingdemonis.livejournal.com 2012-01-07 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I do.
Edited 2012-01-07 19:38 (UTC)

[identity profile] answerer-sword.livejournal.com 2012-01-07 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
On what grounds?

[She knows that at this point, her words are becoming increasingly hypocritical. As a magus, she certainly considered herself above the rest of humanity. However, even magi did not find sadistic joy in killing "lower" beings.]

[identity profile] ceilingdemonis.livejournal.com 2012-01-11 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
I am the the Earth King and the second son of Satan, the God of Gehenna. I am above all creatures but two.

[W-well, maybe three, but they're not here to talk about heavenly heaven God.]

[identity profile] answerer-sword.livejournal.com 2012-01-11 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
[This shocks her into near silence. After staring at him for a bit, she starts to speak again.]

You're a demon?

[That would explain the cute little plant men, at least.]

...No wonder you hold a twisted set of morals.
